My Leptin Playbook

5 plays to raise your leptin, rebuild your energy, and support fat loss

For women feeling stuck, exhausted, and holding onto weight.

If you’ve been doing all the “right” things—fasting, training hard, eating clean, pushing harder—and your body still feels tired, stressed, stuck, or resistant, this playbook was made for you.

This is for you if…

  • You feel tired, drained, or crash in the afternoon

  • Fat loss feels harder than it should

  • Your body feels like it’s holding on

  • You suspect low leptin may be part of the picture

  • your workouts feel harder to recover from

  • You’ve noticed signs like hair shedding, restless sleep, feeling cold, brain fog, stronger hunger, or low motivation

While this playbook was created through my experience with low leptin and excess fat to lose, it can also help women who want to better understand leptin, energy signaling, and what may be keeping their body stuck.

What is the Leptin Playbook?

The Leptin Playbook is a guided mini course built around the exact framework I used to better understand how I dropped my leptin, what may have been reinforcing the problem, and the shifts I made to begin raising it.

This is not just a list of random tips. It’s a structured path to help you understand the signal, run the strategy, train the system, and fuel the body.

Inside the playbook, you’ll get 5 plays...

...to help you understand why you’re so tired, why your body is holding onto weight, and what may actually help.

Play 1: Start Here
My story, how I dropped my leptin, what to expect, and how to use the playbook.

Play 2: Understand the Signal
A leptin deep dive—what leptin is, how it works, the different leptin states, and how to test it.

Play 3: Run the Strategy
The core strategy I used, why each step matters, and what it may be doing in the body.

Play 4: Train the System
My workout approach—what to do vs. what to pause, Zone 2, workout stacking, glycogen-to-fat shifts, and weekly structure.

Play 5: Fuel the Body
Why eating at or above TDEE matters, how to calculate it, and sample meals to support the body.

Why this is different

Low leptin does not always look the way people expect. For some women, it shows up in a very lean body. For others, it shows up while they still have excess fat to lose—which is what makes it so confusing.

This playbook helps you understand that paradox, connect the dots, and start looking at your body through a different lens.

I made this because I lived it

As someone who has always been active, it was confusing to feel my energy drop while my body held onto fat. At first, I kept doing what I thought should work—fasting, training hard, staying disciplined. But when I finally tested my leptin, I realized my body didn’t need more pressure. It needed more support. This playbook is the structure I wish I had when I was trying to understand what was happening.

By the end, my hope is that you’ll better understand...

  • what leptin is and why it matters

  • how low leptin can show up in the body

  • why some “healthy” habits may have made things worse

  • the shifts I used to begin raising it

  • how to think about food, movement, and energy through a leptin lens

Hi I'm Margaret Kujawa,

I’m an artist, mom, athlete, and self-described health nerd with a deep curiosity for metabolic health, nervous system regulation, and how the body communicates through signals like leptin and light.

With a background in design and a career spent untangling complex systems, I naturally approach health by looking for patterns, connections, and ways to make things more intuitive and usable.

What started as a personal deep dive has evolved into a collection of field notes and insights—originally created as a repository for myself and my children, so they could understand how to care for their bodies in a way that actually makes sense.
